Blackburn are going backwards rather than forwards, and this season looks set to be another just like it. They have a good set of players, but they will need to gel together quickly if Coyle is to get Blackburn competing with the best again. The likes of Marshall, Craig Conway, Elliot Bennett, Graham and Anthony Stokes should see Blackburn come quite close to the top 6, but defensively they are poor which is why they languish nearer the bottom. If the strengthen defensively, Blackburn could be in for a good season.
